There is a market you might want to visit if the part you stay is not so far away from it: Xochimilco Market: https://maps.app.goo.gl/GFgXAM4PD8eqqMX77 - it is a gigantic, multi-section market that sells fresh produce from the swarm famring area nearby, it has an incredible food sections from all over Mexico (They cook very differently from each regions), and nearby there is a boat section to see the swarm area, and a small cute museum about the history of the place. I don't do the boat, figuring negotiating price is tiring to me, but all other are so wonderful.
Ah yes! Thanks for the tip Khải. It looks incredible. I was reading about Parque Ecológico de Xochimilco yesterday, the farms apparently supply fine produce to a lot of the inner city restaurants, chefs having personal relationships with the farmers. We’re thinking of heading out early one morning, before the party boats hit the waters!
They don't really have that as much in Europe as you do at home and in the states. And the online banks we use don't really offer those deals. You'll find us instead using budget longhauls with weird names!
Great pictures and food all those delicious flavours. We just had Thai noodle salad at the Canberra National Gallery which was yum also, home tomorrow where there has been massive rain. Take care love Dad and Lizzie XXX
Great to share food adventure tales across the globe. 🌎 The Canberra food scene needs more exploration! Looking forward to Thailand early next year… mmm Tom Yum soup.
What a great food adventure, Josh! I enjoyed the story about meeting the Australian chef at Cariñito Tacos. Funny that he’s planning to open another taqueria in Japan! Those Asian-inspired tacos sound really interesting too. 😊
This was such a delight to read and it brought back sooo many memories of my last Mexico City trip! Cariñito Tacos is the best and if you have a chance my other favorites were Tortas El Tigre and Basico.... let me know if you need more things!

I hope you share more about the trip there. Mexico is a magical city. They also party VERY HARD 🤣.
Hopefully they’re still doing the blueberry focaccia at Rosetta!
What? I missed that… clearly going back tomorrow for further research!
From memory it was blueberry and rosemary…still think about it from time to time!
Excuse me while I take a moment to get over business class. Hahahaha
It’s calling your name… get on the points wagon and join us up front! 🛩️

Yes the introduction of Asian flavour profiles to the local market here is so interesting. I’m sure some purists are challenged! So… tasty! 😋
All looks so delicious Josh .. and I’m sure the tastes are exquisite 🤗
Ok, now I'm hungry! Everything sounds delicious! 😋
Never appreciated how food obsessed Mexican’s are until this trip Erin. It’s a wonderful thing!
